MEDICAL RELEASE FORM STAR ISLAND REUNION 2011
Reunion is coming up fast! Get your registration in before January 3rd and come Get Lost from January 7th through 9th!
The YES Conference Reunion will be held January 7th through 9th at First Church Dedham in Dedham, MA. Join friends from this past year’s conference as well as activities from long ago in workshops, soda tasting, an all conference staff meeting, worship, and more!
Spend the weekend from Friday evening to Sunday morning or stop by for a shorter period of time. Reconnect to your “star self”, create community, and meet the staff for next year’s conference.

After a very successful 2010 conference, preparations are underway for next year’s conference! Until staff gets an official website up-and-running, this is home-base for everything you need to know about YES.

Waves and Undercurrents
(Formally known as Young Religious Unitarian Universalists or YRUU)
YES on Star Island is a weeklong conference for ages 15 to 22. We welcome back old friends and invite new ones to be a part of a diverse and open community and provide a safe atmosphere for spiritual growth and renewal, both individually and as a community.
Taking time to recognize the ebb and flow of change in ourselves and in our community. We gather with new and old friends to learn and question themes of faith, gender, art, sexuality, politics, and much more in youth-led workshops and programming. Join us in creating new waves and experiencing familiar undercurrents as we celebrate and enjoy being on Star Island together.

2) Print it out
3) Fill it out
4) If you are under-18 during the conference, fill out the minor heath form and permission slip
Minor Medical Release Form
5) Mail registration forms, a medical release form, a stamped envelope addressed to yourself, $150 room and board deposit made out to Star Island Corporation and a Registration Fee: $85 per person. The registration fee includes an optional $10 donation to the scholarship fund, so the conference may be available to everyone.

If a returning Shoaler recruits a New Shoaler to the island, both the Old and the New Shoaler will receive a 10% discount on their room and board bill!!!

Conference Scholarship:
YOU MUST FILL OUT YOUR SCHOLARSHIP FORM BY APRIL 1st. There might be other scholarship opportunities outside of our conference, if you apply by this date. (Please contact me for a form)
Other News:
The ferry is leaving from PORTSMOUTH and not Rye Harbor this year. HELLO Friendly Toast, GOODBYE seafood shack!
The ferry costs the same (and is added to your bill, but just a heads up): $44
Parking is the same: $10 a day or $80 Saturday-to-Saturday. HOWEVER there is a free park and ride just outside of Portsmouth where we might be able to figure out some self-organized shuttle service to minimize parking costs.

What is a Conference Overnight Guest?
• Someone who cannot make the whole conference, but comes for a night or a couple of days.
• They can be Old Shoalers or New Shoaler friends that want to be conferees
